Located on Yongkang Street, this cat cafe appears unremarkable among the other cafes and restaurants in the area. And it is. Except for having two nice cats who were asleep, it’s not really different from any other overpriced cafe in a popular shopping area. The menu is typical without much variety. An Americano is NT130, and since I’d just gone to the Cuckoo’s Nest, I didn’t order any coffee. I had a panini (NT$180) and water.
The sandwich was pretty good; it had plenty of cheese on it. This cafe is ok if you happen to be around Dongmen, but not really worth going out of the way for.
Here are the cats:

This cozy cafe has a great atmosphere: warm lighting, comfortable seats, nice variety of decorations and good mix of background music.
At first, I thought they just had this one cat
That was ok, it was still a nice cafe. I looked at the menu and ordered the most interesting sounding item, a hot “Whatever” for NT$120. That meant I’d get whatever they chose to make for me.
“Whatever” was delicious. It turned out to be a latte with cinnamon and honey.
I paid my bill, but then the guy asked if I’d like to see the cats. He’d seen I had brought the cat cafe book and had been taking pictures of the one cat. He said they had more than 30 cats upstairs! So of course I said I wanted to see them and they were adorable. All of them are strays that they’ve taken in.
This is definitely on my list as one of the best cat cafes.

Located just before Linguang MRT station, this is a combination pet supplies store, cat cafe and cat hotel. The first time I walked past it, I thought it was just a pet supplies store as the narrow staircase going up to the second floor cafe can be easy to miss. The cafe has 4-5 friendly cats, which the helpful staff were eager to introduce.
They also have a separate, glass room with kittens to adopt. Just ask the staff to let you in and you can play with the kittens.
I ordered a waffle set with Americano coffee. The presentation of the waffle is very cute, but it actually didn’t taste that good, and the coffee wasn’t great either. But still, it’s a nice place to sit and work, and they’re helping stray kittens find homes. I’ll definitely go back there.
